Women's Anti-Pass Campaign
Title
Women's Anti-Pass Campaign
Description
These pictures were taken at the Langa Heritage museum, which use to be the old pass office for the Langa Township. One of the many interesting things we discussed in class was how women were involved in the struggle for equality by organizing and protesting in both the U.S. and South Africa, yet often seem to be overlooked when discussing such histories outside of a Women and Gender's Studies classroom. That is why these photos struck me and I had to share them.
