Brittany's Introduction

Title

Brittany's Introduction

Description

My name is Brittany Williams and I graduated with a Masters in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Louisville. My area of interest is motherhood and how it affects international women’s movements. I have had the privilege and opportunity to travel around the globe and study women and their political activism and agency. I hope to continue this journey while in South Africa. In Louisville I am passionately involved in advocating for women’s reproductive rights and strongly believe this has shaped my feminist views. While in South Africa I look forward to learning about the culture and working with Ingrid Askew and the Womanspirit Project. Additionally, I wish to gain an understanding of women’s identities and experiences in South Africa. After South Africa, I hope to get a PhD in Women’s Health with a focus on international women’s issues.
